JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.-- Carson-Newman freshman Nikki James earned All-Freshman Team honors from the South Atlantic Conference at the SAC Tournament banquet Thursday night. James, a native of Cookeville, led the conference with 1.52 blocks per game and was ranked in the top ten in all of NCAA Division II in blocks. James' efforts helped the team lead the SAC in team blocks per game with 3.15 per match. Teammates Kelli Sorensen, Mary Knapp, and Kelsey Fleck received the conference senior awards at the banquet. James and the Lady Eagles enter the quarterfinals of the 2007 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament as the seventh seed. They'll take on second seed Tusculum today at 3:30 p.m.
