JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.-- Kelsey Fleck had nine kills and Allyson Corhn contributed 22 assists as the Carson-Newman Lady Eagles defeated Mars Hill, 3-0 (30-19, 30-16, 30-20) in the final regular season home game of the 2007 season at Holt Fieldhouse. The Lady Eagles (20-9, 3-9 SAC) dominated from start to finish, hitting .500 in the opening game and .280 for the match. Kelli Sorensen collected nine kills in her regular season home finale. Sorensen and fellow senior Mary Knapp were honored in pregame ceremonies with their respective parents. Caitlin Schlegel and Carly Mozgai had five kills while Vanessa Kinsler added four. Sorensen anchored the Eagle defense with 10 digs with Knapp adding eight and Salem Stepp collecting six digs. Fleck and Cori Bevering had two block assists as well. The Lady Eagles conclude the regular season with matches at Wingate on November 2 and November 3 at Catawba before hosting the South Atlantic Conference Tournament at Holt Fieldhouse on November 9 and 10.
