JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.-- Catawba handed Carson-Newman its second straight defeat, winning 3-0 (30-25, 30-15, 30-26) at Holt Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.

Carson-Newman (16-5, 2-5 SAC) was led by Kelsey Fleck with 11 kills while Katie Troyer added 10 and Kelli Sorensen contributed nine. Stephanie Cutter paced the Eagle offense with 20 assists and Allyson Corhn collected 10 assists. Sorensen led the Lady Eagles with 12 digs and Cutter added 11.

Catawba hit .350 for the match, including a .478 percentage in game two. Andi Henderson had 39 assists while Mai Zoua Lo led the Indians with 15 kills. Melissa Powers added 14 kills and Melissa Griffth contributed 11 kills. Griffith also led Catawba with eight digs.

The Lady Eagles travel to Lincoln Memorial on October 9 before returning to Holt Fieldhouse for a non-conference match versus King College on October 11.
