MARS HILL, N.C.--The Carson-Newman Lady Eagles swept Mars Hill in three games (31-29, 30-19 and 30-22) Tuesday night for their second SAC victory of the 2007 season.

The Lady Eagles improved to 16-3 on the year and 2-3 in league play.

Katie Troyer (Plain City, OH) led C-N with 13 kills while Stephanie Cutter (Murfreesboro, TN) and Allyson Corhn (Hendersonville, NC) recorded 19 and 14 assists in the win, respectively. Salem Stepp (Morristown, TN) tallied seven digs and Nikki James (Cookeville, TN) and Caitlin Schlegel (Anacortes, WA) added six blocks apiece. Kelly Sorenson (Maple Grove, MN) rounded out the statistical leaders for C-N with a pair of service aces.

The Lady Eagles resume SAC play at Holt Fieldhouse on Friday and Saturday. C-N will face defending league champ Wingate on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Catawba at 2:00 p.m.
