Sept. 26, 2007 BREVARD, N.C.-- The Carson-Newman Lady Eagles continued their winning ways on Tuesday night, defeating Brevard College in four games, 30-19, 26-30, 30-24 and 30-25. The Lady Eagles improved their record to 15-2 in the 2007 season with the victory. With the score knotted up at 1-1, the next two games would go the Eagles way as they were able to hold off a late surge by Brevard in both games to seal the 3-1 victory. Carly Mozgai paced the C-N attack with 24 kills on the night. Kelli Sorensen added 15 kills while the Ohio duo of Kelsey Fleck and Katie Troyer contributed 14 kills apiece. The Lady Eagles compiled a .289 hitting percentage for the match, including a .432 hitting percentage in the game one win. Defensively, Haley Bush led the Lady Eagles with 14 digs while Allyson Corhn and Stephanie Cutter added 11 digs apiece. Cutter garnered a season high 54 assists. The Lady Eagles return to Holt Fieldhouse on Friday, September 28 to take on Lenoir-Rhyne in a key South Atlantic Conference match. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
