Williamsburg, KY - Carson-Newman men and women dominated play at the University of the Cumberlands Fall Invitational Tennis Tournament. Teams from Carson-Newman, Campbellsville University, Lincoln Memorial University, and University of the Cumberlands participated in a one day flighted tournament.

Of the 20 flights, Carson-Newman men and women won the championship match in 16 of the 20 flights. Flight champions in men's singles were Adriano Kira, Jack Harvie, Chris Acker, Trent Slagle, and John Borthick, while Harvie/Acker and Kira/Slagle were doubles champions in their respective flights.

In the women's tournament, flight champions were Amanda Bartlett, Taryn Cappadona, Suzanne Brooks, Emily Sorah, Cassie Moulton, and Kate Walker. Doubles champions were Elizabeth Sneed/Brooks, Moulton/Sorah, and Walker/Charli Thomas. This tournament concludes the fall tennis season. Carson-Newman men and women will return to action on February 28, 2009 at King College in Bristol.
