JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman women's tennis team was rewarded for the best season in school history with an NCAA Tournament bid on Wednesday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles will face top-seeded and host Lynn University ( in Boca Raton, Florida. Dates and times of the matches will be released later this week, the tournament's first round will be held on May 8-9.

Carson-Newman (13-2) enters the tournament off its first South Atlantic Conference regular season title. The Lady Eagles swept through the SAC regular season, going 7-0. Their only regular season loss to a Division II opponent came at the hands of national power California (Pa.) in early March.

The winner of Carson-Newman/Lynn will face the winner of the Florida Southern/Nova Southeastern. The Division II National Championships will be played May 14-17 at Memorial Park and Homer Ford Park in Houston, Texas.
