JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman Lady Eagles picked up three-set wins at both #1 and #2 singles to rally for a 5-4 win over Tusculum on Wednesday afternoon at the Carson-Newman Tennis Complex in Jefferson City. Junior Cassie Moulton picked up the deciding point, winning at #5 singles in three sets, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4. Sophomore Amanda Bartlett and freshman Taryn Cappadonna each won three-set matches at #1 and #2 singles respectively, as the Lady Eagles improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the SAC. Sophomore Elizabeth Sneed continued her impressive play at #3 singles, winning 7-5, 6-3. She and Moulton each picked up two points against the Lady Pioneers. The Lady Eagles will face North Georgia on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Jefferson City. The match was originally scheduled for noon.
