JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.-- Carson-Newman second baseman Whitney Hickam has been named a Daktronics third team All-American.

Hickam, a native of Knoxville, led the Lady Eagles in many offensive categories including homeruns (10), RBI (62) and slugging percentage (.700). She earned first team Daktronics All-South Atlantic Region and second team All-South Atlantic Conference honors in 2007 in leading the Lady Eagles to a 35-16 record in 2007.
