ROCK HILL, S.C. -Carson-Newman pitcher Zoe Heim has been named the South Atlantic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, conference officials announced today.

Heim (Gallatin, Tenn.) earned Player of the Week honors after a 2-0 week, in which she allowed only one run in 12 innings pitched.

The senior right-hander struck out 17 of the 44 batters she faced in wins over North Greenville and Erskine. She surrendered only seven hits in her two appearances, and only one for extra bases.

Pitcher and Player of the Week honors are voted on by the league's eight sports information directors.
