Lady Eagles Earn NSCAA Honors

JEFFERSON CITY, TN-- Rebecca Angus and Julie Nelson have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's All-Southeast Region first team while teammate Brittany Moore earned second team honors.

Angus, the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year, led the Lady Eagles with 21 goals as Carson-Newman finished the season with an 18-2-1 record and claimed the SAC regular season and tournament titles. Nelson scored seven goals and anchored a C-N defense that held opponents to a 0.97 goals against average. She was recently named team captain of the Northern Ireland national women's soccer team. Moore scored four goals (including one game-winning goal) and dished four assists as a midfielder.
