Lady Eagles Blank Scots, 3-0

MARYVILLE, TN-- Rebecca Angus, Julie Nelson and Lindsey Farris scored goals as the Carson-Newman Lady Eagles defeated Maryville, 3-0 for their third straight victory on the road.

The Lady Eagles (13-1) grabbed the early lead when Christie Murray passed the ball to forward Rebecca Angus, who fired a shot past Lady Scot keeper Lindsay York for a 1-0 C-N lead.

In the second half, Lindsey Farris battled through numerous defenders to fire a shot into the net for a two-goal lead in the 68th minute. Finally, defender Julie Nelson added an insurance goal on a 35-yard free kick to give C-N their 13th win of the season.

The Lady Eagles will host their final regular season game on Saturday, October 21 against Newberry College at 4:00 p.m.
