GREENEVILLE, Tenn.-- Katie Perea's goal in the 54th minute propelled the Carson-Newman Lady Eagles to a 1-0 win over South Atlantic Conference rival Tusculum. The Lady Eagles (9-2, 1-1 SAC) battled Tusculum (7-4, 1-2 SAC) to a scoreless first half. In the 54th minute, Perea scored her first goal of the season with a pass from Jessie Stephens. The Lady Eagles out-shot TC by a 15-9 margin. Freshman goalie Tori Hadjopoulos had eight saves for the Pioneers while C-N's Nyssa Griffin had four saves. The Lady Eagles will return to conference play on October 3 when they travel to Mars Hill. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
