JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.- Three Carson-Newman Lady Eagles are listed in the first edition of national statistics for 2007-'08.

Junior Ashley Tipton is third nationally in three-point field goal percentage (54.2%) and 14th in three-point field goals made per game (3.2).

Sophomore Ashley Kyle is making the most of her move to point guard. The hometown-product is 11th in assists per game, averaging 6.3. Kyle is also 31st in free throw percentage at 88.2%.

Sophomore Shari Buford is 24th in the country with 10.1 rebounds per contest.The Hampton, Georgia-native is coming off a 15-point, 19-rebound effort in the Lady Eagles 85-68 win over Pfieffer.

As a team the Lady Eagles are fifth in the nation in rebound margin(14.9), eighth in in three-point field goal percentage (42.5%), 39th in the country in assists (17.3), 42nd in field goal percentage (44.4%), 51st in free throw percentage (73.4%), 61st in three-point field goals made per game (6.2), and 66th in scoring at 73.1 points per game.

Carson-Newman (5-5, 1-0 SAC) returns to action later this month. The Lady Eagles play in the Red Roof Inn Classic in Charleston, West Virginia on December 29-30. C-N will face West Virginia State on Saturday the 29th, and host-Charleston on the 30th.

The Lady Eagles return home in the new year. Carson-Newman will host Newberry on January 5th, in a rematch of last season's SAC Tournament title game.
