Final Stats

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.-- Shari Buford posted another double-double as the Carson-Newman Lady Eagles defeated Pfeiffer, 85-68 at Holt Fieldhouse.

C-N (5-5) earned the victory despite turning the ball over 37 times. The Lady Eagles were solid on offense, shooting 63% in the first half and 60% for the game. Buford scored 15 points and pulled down 19 rebounds on the night. Emily Mason scored 14 points while Ashley Kyle and Tykira McDaniel added 11 points each for the Lady Eagles.

Pfeiffer could only get to within 13 points before the Lady Eagles pulled away in the final three minutes. Kendra Rutledge led the Lady Falcons with 14 points.

Carson-Newman will enjoy the Christmas break before returning to the hardwood on December 29 and 30 at the Red Roof Classic in Charleston, West Virginia versus West Virginia State and the University of Charleston.
