JEFFERSON CITY, TN-- Carson-Newman won five of the last seven individual matches to defeat Division I foe Gardner-Webb at Butler-Blanc Gymnasium for a school record 20th win of the season. After G-W claimed wins in the 135 and 141-lb. matches, the Eagles rallied for three straight wins. Mike Rogers pinned G-W's Ben Hoppenbrawer at the 2:20 mark of the first period to win the 149-lb. match while Stephen Humphrey and Sherman White garnered nine points apiece to win their respective matches at 157 and 165 lbs. Sherman White, Nate Jones, and Chuck Robinson also claimed decisions in their matches as C-N earned the eight-point victory.

The Eagles will conclude the regualr season with a 7:00 p.m. home match against another Division I opponent, Appalachian State, on Thursday, February 15.
