NEWBERRY, S.C.-- Carson-Newman lost two matches before salvaging a tie at the Newberry Duals on Saturday.

Kent Pierson was the only Eagle wrestler to win all three of his matches in the tournament. All-American Mike Rogers won his match against Isaac Banks with a 17-1 technical fall.

The Eagles return from Christmas break to compete in the Limestone Duals in Gaffney, South Carolina on January 2.
