BRISTOL, Tenn.-- The Carson-Newman Eagles earned their first win of the 2007-2008 season with a 27-14 victory over King College on Tuesday. Kurtis Hess had the lone pin of the night in his 149-lb. match against Chuck Whiteside. Kent Pierson and Buddy Brown took on two former Tennessee state champions. Pierson defeated Bo Usrry 14-2 in the 133-lb. match and Brown lost his 285-lb. match 6-2 to Frank Morgan. Eagle All-American Mike Rogers earned a TKO over David Johnson in the 157-lb. match.
