Preston Sneed Is Third Team Academic All-American

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.-- Preston Sneed can now add All-American to his growing list of honors.

The Kingsport, Tennessee native has been named a third team Academic All-American by ESPN the Magazine and the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Sneed earned the South Atlantic Conference Scholar Athlete award for men's tennis this season. He is a member of Alpha Chi national honor society and has studied in Mexico and Spain. He is president of Sigma Delta Pi, the national Spanish honor society, and a worship leader for a Carson-Newman based ministry. He also served as an intern in Washington, D.C. for Tennessee U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander.
