NEWBERRY, S.C. - Third-seeded Newberry College claimed a 5-0 victory over No. 6 seed Carson-Newman College to advance to the semifinals of the 2007 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament here Monday.

Newberry (10th in the Southeast Region, 7-7) moves on to face second-seeded Tusculum (39th nationally, 7th regionally, 14-5) in Friday's semifinal match at Mars Hill College.
