Final Stats

ROCK HILL, SC-- Lincoln Memorial's Nelson Pizzaro struck the fatal blow to the Eagles of Carson-Newman College in Friday's semifinal round of the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament.

After playing to a 0-0 tie in the first half, Pizzaro, a Second Team All-SAC selection, caught a cross from Leandro Pereira and placed it into the left side of the goal in the 50th minute for LMU's 1-0 margin.

Carson-Newman's tournament title run ends with a record of 14-3-2 and with hopes of earning a spot in the upcoming NCAA Appalachian Region Tournament next weekend.
