Cooke, Finlay named captains for 2009
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- Carson-Newman men's soccer coach Allen Vital recently named forward Omar Cooke (Roanoke, Va.) and defender Matthew Finlay (Liverpool, Eng.) captains for the 2009 season. Cooke, who will be a fifth-year senior next season, saw action in 16 games in 2008 and earned first team All-South Atlantic Conference and first team National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Southeast Region honors. He finished the year with five goals, including two game winners, and was second on the team in shots with 55. [+]
