Coach John Minor's Eagles Finished Tied For 7th At Kiawah Island's Cougar Point Golf Course

KIAWAH ISLAND, SC-- The Carson-Newman Eagles finished tied for seventh in the Kiawah Island Invitational to post their first top ten finish of the 2007-'08 season.

Brad Robinson led the Eagle contingent with a final round 76 to finish with a two-day, two-over-par score of 146 on the par 72 Cougar Point Golf Course designed by Gary Player. Robinson tied for 13th place in the individual rankings. John Minor, Jr.'s final round 79 placed him tied for 30th at +8 while Cory Hinchey was one stroke behind at +9 with a final round 79. Tyler Lane also finished at +9 with a two-day score of 153 after a final round 78. Blake Howard's final round 81 placed him tied for 40th at +10 for the tournament.

The Eagles will now set their sights on the Coker College Invitational in Orlando, Florida on September 24. The Eagles will compete at Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course.
