MOORESVILLE, NC- The Carson-Newman Eagles are sixth after two rounds in the NCAA Division II Atlantic/Southeast Men's Golf Super Regional, held at The Point Lake and Golf Club, a par 72 course. Sophomore Brad Robinson (Johnson City, Tenn.) and senior Tyler Lane (Dayton, Tenn.) are both in the top ten with 18 holes left to play. Robinson is second, after firing a 72 on day two, and is only one stroke back. Lane is also within striking distance of the lead. After his two-under 70 on Tuesday, the Dayton, Tennessee-native is five strokes back at +3. In the Southeast Regional, Georgia College and State holds a four shot lead over South Carolina Aiken entering tomorrow's final round. South Carolina Aiken posted a score ten shots better than yesterday's as four of the five Pacers posted scores better than yesterday's. Jeff Goff fired a three-under 69, which tied for the low round of the day, including six birdies. Lander holds down the third spot after posting a 302 today. Newberry College is in fourth, while Clayton State, Carson Newman, Columbus State and Armstrong Atlantic round out the field. Along with Goff, Chris Wolfe of Armstrong Atlantic also posted a 69, the two lowest rounds of the region. The third, and final, round gets underway tomorrow morning at 8:00.
