EATONTON, GA-- After finishing the first two rounds in 11th place, the Carson-Newman golf team rallied for a final round 293 to earn seventh place at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College and State University.

Corey Hinchey was the top Eagle finisher after firing a one-over 71 on Tuesday to finish tied for 16th in the tournament. TC Baker and Dane Fairfield finished tied for 30th after final round 74s (+4). Tyler Lane's final round 74 earned himself a 35th place finish while Chad Grubb tied for 72nd with a final round 81 after scoring 82 and 78, respectively, in the first two rounds.

The Eagles will next compete at the Independent Collegiate Invitational from April 8-10 at the Etowah Valley Country Club in Etowah, North Carolina.
