HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Carson-Newman men's golf team tied for 7th place in the Queens University Invitational this past weekend. Tied with the Eagles were Newberry College and Belmont Abbey with a two round team score of 605. Leading the Eagles in 13th place individually was junior Brad Robinson (Johnson City, Tenn.). Robinson finished 54 holes with a score of 148. Freshman Liam Ashby (Liverpool, England) followed in 35th place shooting a combined score of 153. Just one stroke behind were sophomores Blake Howard (Johnson City, Tenn.) and John Minor Jr. (Dandridge, Tenn.) with a final score of 154. Finishing in 67th place was junior Cory Hinchey (Abingdon, Va.), shooting a 158. The Queens University Invitational concluded the fall season for the Eagle golf team. They will resume play in the early spring.
