July 16, 2007 KNOXVILLE, Tenn.-- The Pilot Rocky Top Summer League awarded Carson-Newman signees Justin Walker and Cameron Sharp the Bruce Pearl Award for Improvement while current Eagle Andy Tipton earned the Ernie Grunfeld for the Most Underrated Player. Scott Williams was given the Ron Widby Award for Biggest Surprise. The awards were voted on by a media and league executive committee panel. The Rocky Top League will end Monday, July 16 as the News Sentinel Press, featuring Scott Williams and Sharp, will take on teammate Tipton's Toyota Knoxville team at Knoxville's Bearden High School at 7:30 p.m. Tipton scored 30 points for Toyota in their 115-92 victory over HT Group to clinch the regular season title and earn a berth in the championship game.
