JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.-- Carson-Newman dominated from start to finish in a 96-71 victory over Anderson University at Holt Fieldhouse. The Eagles (4-1) shot 49% from the field and 95% from the free throw line, including a perfect 11-of-11 from the charity stripe in the first half. Andy Tipton scored 20 points to lead all scorers while Zach Hyatte recorded a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Darren Williams added 11 points while Andrew Johnson collected 10 points. Stephen Cobb led Anderson with 14 points while Brandon Young added 13. Tipton collected four blocks while Johnson had three steals. Jordan Dixon and Williams paced the Eagle offense with five assists apiece. The Eagles will play two more non-conference games before the Christmas break. Carson-Newman will host North Greenville on Thursday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. before taking on Lees McRae College on Saturday, December 15.
