Scott Taylor is in his first year as an assistant coach for the Eagles.

Taylor is a 2004 graduate of Florida State University, having earned degree in Sports Management. While at FSU, Taylor served as student manager for the Seminoles from 2000-2004, including spending the final three years as Head Manager.

The Greenville, North Carolina-native served under former-Seminole Head Coach Steve Robinson. He also worked under current head coach Leonard Hamilton. He also had the opportunity to work with a number of current NBA players at FSU, including Alexander Johnson, Von Wafer, and 2007 first round pick Al Thorton.

During his time in Tallahasse, the Seminoles made a pair of National Invitational Tournament appearances. The most recent one coming in 2004, when the `Noles fell to Iowa State in the first round.

Taylor spent the last two years in orthopedic sales in Greenville. He also served as an assistant coach at Rose High School,

He is married to the former Leah Peterson. The couple resides in Knoxville.
