C-N Announces 2009-10 Men's Basketball Schedule
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- The Carson-Newman men's basketball team will match up with four participants from last season's NCAA Tournament as a part of its 2009-10 schedule, head coach Dale Clayton announced Tuesday. The Eagles, which are coming off a 7-21 campaign, will travel to Johnson City, Tenn., on Nov. 9 to take on Division I NCAA Tournament participant East Tennessee State in their only exhibition game before beginning regular season play. Eagle Coaching Legend Dick Campbell Passes Away
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Carson-Newman College basketball coaching legend Dick Campbell passed away on Tuesday afternoon. He was 81. Campbell coached at Carson-Newman from 1958-'67, leading the Eagles to five NAIA National Tournament appearances, including a third place finish in 1964. [+]

Clayton Named NABC President
DETROIT - Carson-Newman head coach Dale Clayton has been named president of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. The Eagles' head coach took the position Sunday night during the NABC's Guardians of the Game annual awards dinner held at the Final Four in Detroit. [+]
