The CNC Dance Team will be holding try-outs to select the members of the 2008-2009 team. Information on times and place is listed below. If you have a legitimate conflict and are interested in auditioning, please contact Coach Susan Cram-Smith at dancinglily16@hotmail.com. WHO: Anyone who will be enrolled at Carson Newman College for the 2008-2009 academic year. Prior dance experience is required...please see technique required below. WHEN: Friday,April 25th: 4-6 pm Saturday, April 26th: 10:00am-12 noon WHERE: The Multi-Purpose Room in the 3 Gym Area (bottom floor in Student Activities Center) COST: $5 fee for judges CLOTHING: For Saturday's tryout, dancers must wear a tight fitted solid color top (no baggy T-shirts) and black dance pants. Appropriate dance shoes. TECHNIQUE REQUIRED: Splits, high kicks, leaps, switch leaps, leaps in second, toe-touch, axles, triple pirouettes, picque turns, chainne turns, fouettes (regular and in second) Candidates will learn a short routine on Friday which will be performed in front of the judges on Saturday.
