Why Cheer at C-N? The C-N cheerleaders are a squad with dedication, high energy, school spirit, and pride. We are proud to support our Eagles! We work hard year round training, and perfecting our skills and abilities. Cheering offers the opportunity to be involved with our campus & community, building strong character & friendships, and excelling at a collegiate level. Cheerleaders cheer for both football and basketball seasons, travel to summer camp, and compete. You must be a current C-N student or accepted as one to participate. All clinic sessions will be closed, and cuts will be made. Tryouts on Saturday will be open to the public at 5:45pm with an admission of $2.00. who wish to attend. Judges will base their decision on the following: -Cheers -Chants -Fight Song -Jumps -Tumbling -Stunts Schedule of Events -Friday 3-5 PM Session I 7-8 PM Session II -Saturday 8-11 AM Session III 1-4 PM Session IV 6-8 PM Tryouts What to Bring: Registration Fee ($25) Cheerleading shorts & shoes Tight fitting T-shirts or tank tops You must have a white fitted shirt and navy shorts for tryouts at 6 PM on Saturday. Insurance Card or copy of it Cheerleading Application Signed Waiver Copy of Carson-Newman College Acceptance Letter (New Students) Reference Letter from Coach in a sealed envelope for all first year participants Summer Vacation Schedules Those who wish to stay on campus during tryouts should contact Becky Moore.
